More thank 3 1/2 years ago, in April, 2007, Ioan E. Sersea, M.A., M.A.T., aka MaestroSersea, Online English Teacher, had a vision of creating helpful blogs for English learners, students, tourists, and aspiring tourists from all over the world interested in the beauty, culture, knowledge, and wisdom that can be gained through world travel and friendship transcending religion, culture, and languages.
The incomplete project, under the name "CaliWorldFriends", included individual blogs for 135 countries, aiming to share helpful background information, news, research, multimedia, and opportunities for interaction for visitors from all over the world.
Why "CaliWorldFriends"?
This blog invites people from all over the world who are interested in learning more about California and its people, as well as making new friends with people from other parts of the world, representing international communities represented here in California. We plan on creating an online environment for friendship and the exchange of information for people of different cultures residing in or out of California. Here, people can learn about different countries and cultures of the world, as well as California, USA. Won't you join us?
Now that MaestroSersea has online followers including English learners from all over the world that number well over 135,000 (as of December, 2010) , it is only fitting that this project is given new life, with new information, news sources, multimedia, online learning activities, and research presented to encourage learning, friendship, understanding, and collaboration.
